Hello PC Builders!


As we huddle around our GPUs to make the most of their TDP, it’s time to bring some metaphysical warmth to your systems. Welcome to PC Building Simulator 2 update 1.2, in today’s update we’ve got two new parts partners, expanded the green team’s GPU range, and we’re introducing AMD’s latest flagship GPUs.

New Feature: Custom Cables Shop


Looking to match an elaborate lighting loadout, or add more flash to the functional? Introduce some extra flair to your systems in our new custom cable shop.



As with popular real-world options, players can customise each cable sleeve’s colour and material to suit their system-building fantasy.

Bug Fixes

General

  • Added a new OS message when Clone OS USB has no OS installed on it.

  • Jobs with incomplete watercooling loops will no longer spawn.

  • The blue screen is no longer triggered if the Motherboard is pre-watercooled but there is an air cooler present on the CPU.

  • Darkened the highlights on the keybinding menu.

  • Changed the rendering order of filters and the "Sell All" button.

  • The credits scroller now displays normally when first loading credits.

  • Save names are no longer cropped on the in-game menu.

  • Fixed issues with light layers and reflection probe layers that caused broken shadows.

  • References to the app "SellOut" have been corrected to "CellOut".

  • When listening to the soundtrack, the song the player was listening to will now be saved between sessions.

  • Power consumption in the system info now reduces when unplugging HDDs.

  • Dust material is now correctly removed when dusting is complete.

  • Changed how RAM is checked in upgrade jobs to prevent impossible budgets.

  • Random watercooling jobs will no longer spawn with an objective to set the fan mode.

  • Removed superfluous line in the pause menu logo.

  • Cinebench no longer freezes when started with a CPU above 6520MHz.

  • Adjusted sprite compression. Colour banding is improved but impossible to remove completely.

  • Corrected the light layers of the cardboard boxes on the Contemporary workshop floor.

  • When loading a save, invalid watercooling loops are now recreated based on the parts in the old broken loop instead of just being destroyed.

  • MSI Motherboard BIOS now shows the right arrow on the RAM OC section while using ASUS ROG SWIFT PG279QE.

  • Corrected the core frequency of ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 2070 Super Mini GPU to 1770 MHz.

  • Corrected the wattage of the GIGABYTE AORUS RX 5700 XT GPU to 250W.

  • Corrected the core frequency of the MSI RTX 2080 SUPER VENTUS XS OC to 1830 MHz.

  • Corrected the core frequency of the MSI RTX 2060 SUPER Gaming X to 1695 MHz.

  • Corrected the core frequency of the EVGA GeForce RTX 2060 SC ULTRA GAMING to 1755 MHz.

  • Corrected the VRAM of the EVGA GeForce RTX 2060 SC ULTRA GAMING to 6GB.

  • Corrected the memory frequency of the GTX 1070 Ti founder edition to 2002 MHz.

  • Corrected the memory frequency of the MSI GTX 1050 GAMING X 2G to 1777 MHz.

  • The core and memory frequencies of the MSI GTX 1080 Ti GAMING X have been corrected to 1657 MHz and 1376 MHz.

  • Aligned cable points in ASUS ROG STRIX RTX 2060 SUPER.

  • Re-routed fan cables in the EVGA DG-75.

  • Fixed GPU slot on the CORSAIR iCUE 220T RGB Airflow to avoid clipping.

  • Rotated the watercooled RAM slot on the MSI MAG Z390 Tomahawk motherboard.

  • Aligned PCIe slot on the GIGABYTE Z690 AERO D motherboard.

  • Corrected slot collisions on the MSI MEG Z590 ACE motherboard to allow the middle PCIe slot to be used.

  • Radiators that have internal fan slots will now change the installed fan types to radiator fans

  • Added unit of measurement (mm) to allowed radiator sizes.

  • Watercooled RAM no longer goes missing when adding blocks for multiple sets of RAM.

  • Rigid pipes now correctly unlock at level 10.

  • Parts are now compared correctly, taking into account whether a part was new or used.

  • The pump power connectors now highlight red when they cannot connect.

  • Improved GPU and water block compatibility.

  • Corrected data of GPU lengths, CPU Fan Height, Radiator Sizes and E-ATX supported in the MSI MAG Vampiric 010 case.

  • Corrected power draw of HDDs from 7.5W to 5W.

  • CPU slots now correctly highlight when interacting with them on the watercooling bench.

  • The storefront PC part list now correctly lists whole radiators instead of individual fans.

  • Rerouted PCI Extension cable in the Fractal Design Define R6 case line.

  • Fixed missing pin material on the EVGA SuperNOVA 1300 G2.

  • The NZXT Z73 display now turns off when the PC turns off.

  • Added more GPU cables to cases to allow for better SLI compatibility with 3090 Ti GPUs.

  • Aligned M.2 slot on the GIGABYTE Z690I ULTRA PLUS DDR4 motherboard.

  • Removed placeholder item from the GIGABYTE Z690I ULTRA PLUS DDR4 motherboard.

  • Fan and radiator cable routes expanded for the Kolink Observatory Z case.

  • M.2s with heatsinks can no longer be installed in the GIGABYTE Z690I ULTRA PLUS DDR4 motherboard.

  • The heat sink of the Shean GTX 970 gamer no longer clips through the PCB.

  • Moved the location of the power plug in the InWin A1 case.

  • Re-routed cables in the Antec Dark Avenger DA601 case.

  • Corrected part names in Kolink cases.

  • The SSD mounts on the PSU and the HDD cage in the Fractal Design Meshify 2 are now non-required parts.

  • Corrected HDD cage and HDD tray collisions in the Fractal Design Meshify 2.

  • Corrected PCIe covers in the Kolink Observatory Z to improve vertical GPU mounting.

  • Fixed watercooling for the ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3090 when using dual GPUs.

  • ARCTIC Freezer 7 X CPU coolers are now correctly detected as CPU coolers in the Fan Control App.

  • GPUs connected to the MSI X399 Gaming Pro Carbon AC can now be connected to the PSU when there are available power slots.

  • Replaced missing material on the Raijintek NYX PRO.

  • Fixed the 24-pin cable position on the GIGABYTE Z690I AORUS ULTRA PLUS DDR4 motherboard, and removed a duplicate CPU Socket.

  • The filtering has been adjusted to no longer check for a waterblock on a GPU if it doesn't exist.

  • The check for motherboard blocks is now more specific and explicitly excludes CPU Blocks to prevent duplication in part costs.

Career Mode

  • Fixed a job that arrived with two colliding case fans.

  • Fixed a customer PC to correctly include RGB RAM, this means any NEW instances of this job will contain the RGB.

Onboarding

  • The motherboard watercooling tutorial now specifically checks the Job ID of motherboards so other non-related watercooled motherboards are not taken into account.

Localisation

  • Russian localisation was updated to correct a job objective that referred to the CPU instead of the GPU.
