PC Building Simulator 2 | Update v1.00.29

Hello PC Builders!


Today’s v1.00.29 update is our last minor patch before Update 1.1 later this year. You can find a list of the addressed issues below. As always, we extend our thanks to the diligent community members who continue to report bugs and help provide evidence for issue replication/investigation!


General

  • Lights now remember whether they were on or off when swapping decorations with the Decorator app

  • Fixed the depth buffer on futuristic wall style so that glass on PC cases renders correctly

  • Undo button is now restricted to the current mode, preventing issues where undo would jump into previous modes causing errors

  • Reintroduced H as a hotkey to hide the game UI

  • Wide-ranging improvements to water-cooling loops and their implementation

Metadata

  • Fixed incorrect description for Ryzen™ 7 5800X3D and its Cinebench benchmarking data

  • Updated the benchmark data for the Radeon RX 5500XT, fixing incorrect assessment of the card in Will it Run

  • Corrected card length of MSI GeForce RTX™ 2080 SUPER™ VENTUS XS OC

  • Altered data for motherboard water blocks to compensate for increased overclocking headroom achievable with liquid-cooled VRMs

  • Fixed the EKWB FC2080 RTX™ Classic D-RGB GPU block's compatibility list

  • Corrected the GPUs that are compatible with the EKWB Vector 2080Ti RE water block

Jobs

  • In the water cooling job ‘The ice man cometh!’, attached the Power Button cable to the front panel of the case to prevent issues occurring with power-ups enabled

  • The additional budget for RAM-based jobs has been decreased from 50% extra to 10% extra to be more realistic

Parts

  • Improved collision accuracy on side panels and pump/reservoirs with HYTE Y60

  • Added generic case fans to the HYTE Y60

  • Added extra fan cables in InWin A1 case so all fans can be connected

  • Added extra cables to Fractal Design Torrent case so all fans can be connected

  • Improvements made to the pipe pathing on the Raijintek ERIS EVO case

  • Fixed BeQuiet PUREBASE 500 to fully support 3rd and 4th GPU slots

  • Updated side panels of the Fractal Design Meshify 2 XL Light Tempered Glass case to allow it to be cleaned with compressed air

  • Improved vertical GPU slot compatibility in Kolink Observatory Z and Z Mesh cases

  • Shortened pipes on AIO coolers in GSkill Z5i to improve compatibility

  • Added generic case fans to all Kolink cases

  • Improved the positioning of the PSU slot in the G.Skill Z5i Mini ITX case

  • Added extra cables to allow the connection of fans and radiators to the top of the Cooler Master MasterCase Maker 5t

  • AeroCool Aero One case is now correctly incompatible with coolers over 161mm in height

  • Pipe pathing for the Raijintek ENYO case has been improved

  • Improved GPU riser in SilverStone RZV03 case

  • USBs can now be inserted into the motherboard ports with the SilverStone FT05 case fully closed

  • Changed the ultrawide setting on the 43' DFL 16:9 monitor so content appears correctly

  • Fixed image alignment on the BenQ Mobiuz EX240 monitor

  • Removed overlapping collision from ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX™ 3090 024G GPUs

  • Updated the texture on EVGA GeForce RTX™ 2080Ti XC BLACK EDITION GAMING GPU to add Ti to the logo (and updated icon in the inventory)

  • Improved water block alignment on the EVGA GeForce RTX™ 2080Ti XC Black

  • Allowed M.2 with heatsinks to be used with the Gigabyte GA-B250M-Gaming 5

  • Removed duplicate CPU socket handle on the ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero (Wi-Fi AC) motherboard

  • Fixed top M.2 Slot of the MSI Z690 GODLIKE motherboard to accept Team Group Cardea SSDs

  • Improved alignment of M.2 slots on MSI MEG Z690 GODLIKE motherboard

  • Corrected the GPU slot ordering on the EVGA Z370 motherboard

  • Fixed green outline on ASRock TRX40 motherboard to include all the M.2 SSD cover

  • Removed 2nd reference to ASRock TRX40 Taichi motherboard when using the lighting app

  • Enabled all SATA ports and improved USB ports and M.2 slots on the ASRock TRX40 Taichi motherboard

  • Increased LED display brightness on ASRock TRX40 motherboard

  • Increased LED intensity on the MSI MPG Z690 CARBON WIFI motherboard

  • Improved alignment of the GPU on the ASUS ROG Strix X570-I Gaming motherboard

  • Improved SATA cables alignment on the NZXT N5 Z690 motherboard

  • Improved alignment of RAM and GPU on the NZXT N7 Z690 motherboard

  • Improved alignment of M.2 slots on ASRock B550 Steel Legend motherboard

  • Improved CPU alignment in the Asus ROG STRIX B550-F Gaming motherboard

  • Updated the texture on Ryzen™ 5 2600 CPU to be accurate

  • Changed DeepCool GAMMAXX 400 cooler’s texture so it no longer appears transparent

  • LEDs on NZXT Kraken X73 Pump now follow case rotation

  • Fixed the centre point of spinning fans on the Pure Loop 240mm AIO cooler

Localization

  • Added Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Korean logos to the title, menu and loading screens when using those languages

  • Updated localization on EKWB 1070-1070ti FCGeforce GTX FE RGB, EKWB 1070-1070ti FCGeforce GTX FE Silver, Vector 2080Ti RE and EKWB FC2080 RTX™ Classic D-RGB water blocks

  • Fixed overlapping sender and date issues in the Email app’s Inbox view

Tutorials

  • When loading back into a save with the Spares N Repairs tutorial PC on a desk, the desk is now highlighted correctly with other interactions disabled

  • RAM Timing tutorial tooltips now state the correct values

  • Tutorial for water-cooling a CPU skips the step of cabling if Auto Cable power-up is enabled

  • Improvements to case painting tutorial to prevent blockers
